Summer Camp

The Adventure of a Lifetime

Summer camp is one of the most exciting and rewarding experiences in Scouting. Every year, Family Troop 207 attends a Scouting America Summer Camp, where Scouts spend a full week enjoying the outdoors, learning new skills, making lifelong friendships, and creating memories that will last a lifetime.

During the week, Scouts have the opportunity to earn merit badges, participate in exciting activities, challenge themselves, and grow as leaders. From shooting sports and aquatics to climbing, hiking, nature, cooking, first aid, and outdoor skills, there is something for every Scout to enjoy.

Summer camp also teaches independence, responsibility, teamwork, and confidence. Scouts learn to work together as a troop, solve problems, and take on new challenges while being guided by experienced adult leaders.

Cost

The cost of Summer Camp varies depending on the camp selected each year. Families should plan for an average cost of approximately $600 per Scout, although the final amount may vary.

Family Troop 207 encourages every Scout to participate in troop fundraisers throughout the year. Money earned through fundraising can be placed into a Scout's Fair Share Account and used to help pay for summer camp, troop dues, camping trips, uniforms, and other approved Scouting expenses.

Preparing for Camp

Before attending Summer Camp, each Scout will need:

A Week They'll Never Forget

For many Scouts, Summer Camp becomes the highlight of the entire Scouting year. It is where friendships are strengthened, confidence grows, and unforgettable memories are made around the campfire.

At Family Troop 207, we believe every Scout should have the opportunity to experience Summer Camp at least once each year. We are committed to helping our families prepare, fundraise, and make this incredible adventure possible.

Adventure awaits—we hope you'll join us around the campfire this summer!
